I normally work in a trauma informed way, nothing is rushed. I help you to start to make connections with yourself, to become aware that "Your Body Is Your Home" and teach you new ways of becoming aware of your both negative and positive feelings, images, thoughts, emotions and sensations you experience both through your body and mind. Because your body needs to feel safe and secure first then your mind......
Of course, sometimes, it may be that you just want to change a particular behaviour or trigger without doing any of the talking and many processes can be done "content free" and can be worked through quicker and in a solution focussed way. Therefore if you want me to be more direct then I can offer this too.
The main thing here is that I will work in a way that suits you.... I am guided by you and I want you to know that the problem is not the problem. The problem is often your attitude about the problem or the strategies that you have put in place to cope with the problem e.g. have social anxiety and drink to cope with being in that environment.
